First Claim
1. A method of processing broadcast data in a broadcast receiver, the method comprising:
- receiving a broadcast signal, the broadcast signal comprising mobile service data, a signaling information table including access information of the mobile service data, regularly spaced known data sequences, fast information channel (FIC) data, and transmission parameter channel (TPC) data, wherein the FIC data includes information for rapid mobile service acquisition, wherein the information for rapid mobile service acquisition includes transport stream identification information identifying the broadcast signal and current and next (C/N) indication information indicating whether the FIC data is applicable to a current mobile and handheld (M/H) frame or a next mobile and handheld (M/H) frame, and wherein the TPC data includes FIC version information for indicating an update of the FIC data;
demodulating the received broadcast signal;
obtaining the signaling information table from the demodulated broadcast signal; and
obtaining an IP datagram of the mobile service data using the signaling information table,wherein the mobile service data and the signaling information table are packaged into at least one RS frame belonging to an ensemble, wherein each of the signaling information table and the information for rapid mobile service acquisition further includes an ensemble identifier identifying the ensemble.

Abstract
A digital broadcasting system and a data processing method are disclosed. The receiving system of the digital broadcasting system includes a receiving unit, a main service data processor, a mobile service data processor, a controller, and an output controller. The receiving unit receives mobile service data and main service data including the same A/V broadcast signal and receives retransmission channel information. The main service data processor demodulates and error-corrects the received main service data and temporarily stores the processed data. The mobile service data processor demodulates and error-corrects the received mobile service data and temporarily stores the processed data. The controller generates and outputs a control signal based upon the received retransmission channel information and a receiving environment of the receiving system. And, the output controller selects any one of the A/V broadcast signal for the main service and the A/V broadcast signal for the mobile service based upon the control signal of the controller.
