1. A method of checking the integrity of a database containing both physiological information and database integrity information the method including the steps of:
- inputting physiological information into a database, the database stored on a computer readable memory accessible by a healthcare management software and further including database integrity information, the database integrity information comprising at least one value utilized by the healthcare management software in determining information relating to the physiological information to present with an output device;
storing integrity information on a computer readable media accessible by the healthcare management software system, the integrity information comprising at least one value utilized by the healthcare management software in determining information relating to the physiological information to present with an output device and stored separate from the database containing the physiological information, the healthcare management software system comprising a plurality of computer readable instructions and stored on a computer readable memory accessible by a computing device having a processor; and
determining an integrity of the database containing the physiological information based on a comparison of the at least one value of the integrity information and the at least one value of the database integrity information contained in the database, the step of determining performed by using the processor of the computing device to execute the plurality of machine readable instructions of the healthcare management software prior to the healthcare management software reading the physiological information.
