1. A mobile phone device configured for overlaying at least part of a substrate, said part of said substrate containing a printed hyperlink embedded in text and coded data identifying a region identity and one or more positions on the substrate, said device comprising:

  • a mobile telephone transceiver;

    an optical sensor for reading at least some of the coded data;

    a processor for generating interaction data using the read coded data, said interaction data identifying the region identity and a position of the device relative to the substrate;

    means for retrieval of display data corresponding to the part of the substrate overlain by the device; and

    an opaque touch-sensitive display screen for displaying display information based on said display data, said display information matching and aligning with the text underlying said opaque display screen, such that the opaque display screen has real-time virtual transparency through the screen to the printed content underlying said screen from a user'"'"'s perspective to provide a virtual window to the printed content underlying said screenwherein user interaction with the hyperlink embedded in text displayed on said display screen causes retrieval and display of hyperlinked information on said screen.
