1. A method of accessing data in a disc, the disc comprising a data area, a lead-in area, and a lead-out area, the method comprising:

  • reading defect information and defect management information from a defect management area arranged in the lead-in area and/or the lead-out area of the disc, wherein the defect information comprises location information of a defect block and location information of a replacement block for replacing the defect block, and the defect management information comprises location information of the defect information; and

    accessing the recorded data using the defect information;

    wherein the defect information and the defect management information are generated from information included in temporary management information that is lastly recorded in a temporary defect management area;

    the temporary defect management area comprises a plurality of temporary management information;

    each of the plurality of temporary management information comprises corresponding temporary defect information, and corresponding temporary defect management information comprising location information of the corresponding temporary defect information;

    the corresponding temporary defect information and the corresponding temporary defect management information are stored as a pair in each of the plurality of temporary management information in the same temporary defect management area;

    the plurality of temporary management information comprises first temporary management information and second temporary management information;

    the first temporary management information is recorded in a first area in the temporary defect management area and comprises first temporary defect information, and first temporary defect management information comprising location information of the first temporary defect information; and

    the second temporary management information is recorded in a second area other than the first area in the temporary defect management area and comprises second temporary defect information, and second temporary defect management information comprising location information of the second temporary defect information.
