1. A device for managing tissue in an organ, comprising:

  • a flexible, elongated body having a proximal end and a distal end and a working lumen extending therebetween;

    a gastroplasty device for tissue acquisition and fixation to create a partition within a hollow body organ disposed at the distal end of the elongated body; and

    a retractor formed of elastomeric material connected to the gastroplasty device, the retractor including a cylindrical proximal portion transitioning to a generally flat distal portion, and the flat distal portion connected to a cable and being moveable from a straight position to an arced position to manage tissue of the organ relative to the gastroplasty device when the cable is actuated.
