1. A handheld injection device, comprising:

  • a rotatable dose setting member that is rotatable about a longitudinal axis of the injection device,a power reservoir operably coupled to the rotatable dose setting member wherein energy is stored in the power reservoir during rotation of the rotatable dose setting member,a release member located adjacent to and proximal to the rotatable dose setting member and having a generally planar surface, wherein the generally planar surface is located at the most proximal end of the injection device and wherein the generally planar surface is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the injection device thereby allowing the generally planar surface to receive a force from a finger while a user grips the injection device with the other fingers of a hand, the injection device further comprising a rotatably arranged drive member that at least partly engages with at least a part of a drive track of an associated piston rod, the drive member positionable in a first axial position when the dose setting member is in a dose setting position, the drive member further being positionable in a second axial position when the dose setting member is in a dose injection position, the drive member releasing energy accumulated in the power reservoir when the drive member is in its second axial position, and whereinthe drive member is adapted to rotate the associated piston rod upon releasing the accumulated energy in the power reservoir.
