1. A method of reducing left ventricular dilation, comprising:

  • advancing at least a portion of a cardiac bridge into a posterior vein of a left ventricle, the cardiac bridge including a proximal anchor, a distal anchor and a bridge member connecting the proximal and distal anchors;

    expanding the proximal and distal anchors; and

    altering a curvature of the bridge member between the proximal and distal anchors such that the bridge member applies a compressive force to a wall of the left ventricle.
