1. A spin-plate, comprising:
- a flat blade; and
a shaft attached to or integral with said blade, said shaft having an axis of rotation, said shaft having a dimension perpendicular to said axis of rotation which is less than a corresponding radial dimension of said blade, at least a portion of said shaft being cylindrical, said blade disposed in a plane that is perpendicular to said axis of rotation;
wherein said shaft comprises a first end and a second end and an external circumferential surface and at least a first pair of flat surfaces parallel to said axis of rotation, wherein said pair of flat surfaces are disposed on said external circumferential surface on said first end of said shaft;
wherein said spin-plate is sized to fit inside a spinal cage;
wherein said shaft further comprises a second pair of flat surfaces; and
wherein said first pair of flat surfaces are substantially parallel to one another and define a first width therebetween and said second pair of flat surfaces are substantially parallel to one another and define a second width therebetween, wherein said first width and said second width are unequal.

6. A spin-plate, comprising:
-
a shaft, said shaft having an axis of rotation; a flat blade, said blade being attached to or integral with said shaft, said blade disposed in a plane that is perpendicular to said axis of rotation, said blade having in at least some places a greater radial dimension than said shaft; and a disc, said disc being attached to or integral with said shaft, said disc having in at least some places a greater radial dimension than said shaft; wherein said disc has an outer edge surface that is tapered with respect to said axis of rotation; and wherein said disc has a perimeter with at least two local radial peaks, wherein said local radial peaks are at angular locations, as measured with respect to rotation about said axis of rotation, that are non-uniformly distributed. - View Dependent Claims (7, 8)
