1. A header for an implantable medical device, comprising:

  • a molded polymer housing for encapsulating a plurality of conductive components to insulate the components from unwanted contact with one another and surrounding body materials, the housing including a recessed portion, a plurality of bores sized to receive leads and provide lead access to one or more of the conductive components, and an internally-threaded anchor member; and

    a lead lock member located in the recessed portion of the housing including a plurality of apertures including inwardly-tapering collet members disposed about the apertures, and a lock screw engageable within the anchor member to cause axial constriction of the collet members within the bores to lock in place leads inserted into the bores.
