1. A hybrid control system, comprising:

  • a power loss (PL) determination module that determines a power loss of a hybrid drivetrain based on an engine speed, a motor speed, and a vehicle speed;

    a hysteresis estimation module that determines an average power loss of the hybrid drivetrain based on the power loss and that determines a hysteresis power loss of the hybrid drivetrain based on the average power loss; and

    a mode determination module that selects an operation mode of the hybrid drivetrain based on the hysteresis power loss,wherein the hybrid control system controls the hybrid drivetrain based on the operation mode.
