1. A radio communication system comprising:

  • a mobile terminal;

    a plurality of base transceiver stations (BTSs) each of which has resources used to perform communication processing when the mobile terminal communicates with a core network;

    at least one extension device which has a function of performing radio communication with the mobile terminal on behalf of the BTSs, the extension device communicating with the BTSs via an internet protocol network; and

    a control device configured to control the BTSs, whereinthe extension device is configured to use the resources of more than one of the BTSs concurrently when the mobile terminal communicates with the core network,when the mobile terminal communicates with the core network via the extension device, one of the BTSs (hereinafter, “

    first BTS”

    ) assigns, to resources thereof, a part of a plurality of channels established between the mobile terminal and the core network, and transfers to another one of the BTSs (hereinafter, “

    second BTS”

    ), a resource assignment instruction to assign other channels established between the mobile terminal and the core network to resources of the second BTS, andthe control device is configured to assign a plurality of channels established between the mobile terminal and the core network, to the resources of the first BTS and the second BTS, and to handle pieces of information processed by the resources of the first BTS and the second BTS as information of a single mobile terminal, when the mobile terminal communicates with the core network.
