1. One or more computer-readable storage media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon for performing a method in a clinical computing environment for permitting ordering of clinical orders to be associated with a future encounter at a designated performance facility, the method comprising:

  • receiving, in association with a chart encounter associated with a first performance facility, a single clinical order inputted by a single user, the single clinical order having one or more phases associated therewith;

    determining that a first phase of the one or more phases is locationally-associated with a second phase of the one or more phases;

    receiving a single performance facility designation to be associated with the first phase of the single clinical order, the single performance facility designation being a second performance facility that differs from the first performance facility;

    based on the first phase being locationally-associated with the second phase, associating the single performance facility designation with the second phase of the single clinical order;

    enforcing the association of the single performance facility designation with the second phase such that altering the performance facility designation for the first phase or the second phase of the single clinical order also alters the performance facility designation for other phases that are locationally-associated with the respective altered first phase or second phase;

    accessing a data store, the data store comprising at least one or more relationships between facilities and clinical orders associated therewith and relationships between facilities and a phase of a clinical order associated therewith;

    using the data store, determining based on the single performance facility designation at least one selectable clinical order option, the at least one selectable clinical order option representing an orderable clinical order having one or more phases associated therewith, each of the one or more phases having a plurality of orders associated therewith; and

    presenting the at least one selectable clinical order option on a user interface.
