1. An aneurysm embolization device comprising:

  • a braid body having a first end and a second end, wherein a first band is attached to the first end and a second band is attached to the second end, the first and second bands securing the braid,the body adapted to be compressed for delivery through a catheter and adapted to open, upon deployment, to substantially fill an aneurysm having a dome and a neck, such that the body has only a single layer of braid adjacent to the aneurysm dome and a plurality of layers of braid adjacent to the aneurysm neck, and such that no part of the body extends over the aneurysm neck outside of the dome.
