Abstract

Method and apparatus for producing an oxygenated fluid. In accordance with various embodiments, a flow of pressurized fluid is established. A flow of oxygen is injected into the flow of pressurized fluid to provide a fluid/oxygen mixture. The mixture is passed through a venturi assembly in the presence of a magnetic field established by an adjacent magnetic assembly. The mixture is next flowed from the venturi assembly to a gas/liquid separation tank, where a liquid component of the mixture is passed downstream with a selected dissolved oxygen content and a gas component is directed back for injection into the pressurized fluid flow.

Claims

1. A method for producing oxygenated fluid, comprising steps of:

establishing a pressurized flow of a fluid;

injecting a flow of oxygen into said fluid to provide a fluid/oxygen mixture;

passing said fluid/oxygen mixture through a venturi assembly while subjecting said mixture to a magnetic field from an adjacent magnetic assembly; and

flowing said mixture from said venturi assembly to a gas/liquid separation tank, wherein a liquid component is passed downstream with a selected dissolved oxygen content and a gas component is directed back for injection into said pressurized fluid flow.

2. The method of claim 1, said injecting step further comprising a step of directing said fluid/oxygen mixture through a passive mixer for inducing controlled mixing and bubble reduction of said fluid/oxygen mixture.

The method of claim 1, further comprising a step of passing said fluid/oxygen mixture through a pair of venturi assemblies used in parallel so a first portion of said fluid/oxygen mixture passes through a first of said venturi assemblies and a second portion of said fluid/oxygen mixture passes through a second of said venturi assemblies.

4. The method of claim 1, further comprising a step of passing said fluid/oxygen mixture through multiple venturi assemblies arranged in series.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising a step of injecting colloidal minerals into said flow of said fluid prior to said step of injecting said flow of oxygen into said fluid.

6. The method of claim 1, said establishing step further comprising a step of chilling said flow of said fluid to a selected temperature of about 10 to about 13 degrees Celsius prior to the injecting step.

7. The method of claim 1, further comprising a step of recovering said gas component and supplying gas component to an oxygen generator tank which supplies oxygen during said injecting step.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein said fluid comprises water.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein said fluid with said selected dissolved oxygen content is bottled for human consumption.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein said fluid with said selected dissolved oxygen content is supplied to a tank housing a population of fish.

11. The method of claim 1, wherein said fluid with said selected dissolved oxygen content comprises a combustible fuel supplied to a burner.

12. The method of claim 1, wherein said selected dissolved oxygen content is on the order of about 70 mg/l.

14. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein said fluid is subjected to reverse osmosis processing prior to being supplied to the chiller.

15. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein said fluid comprises water.

16. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein said fluid with said dissolved oxygen is bottled for human consumption.

17. The apparatus of claim 11, further comprising a passive mixer in fluidic communication with said oxygen injection station, said passive mixer induces controlled mixing and bubble reduction into said liquid/gas mixture.

18. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein said venturi assembly comprises:

a flat venturi having an internal cross sectional area smaller than respective cross sectional areas of the passageway immediately upstream and downstream of said flat venturi; and

a magnet adjacent said flat venturi and aligned along a major axis of said internal cross sectional area which applies a magnetic field of a desired field strength to said flow stream in said flat venturi, wherein said flow stream is accelerated to high speed through said venturi and subsequently decelerated as said flow stream exits said venturi.

19. The apparatus of claim 18, wherein said magnet is a ceramic block magnet.

20. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein said gas/liquid separation tank comprising:

an inlet port introduces said liquid/gas mixture into a main chamber;

a baffle divides said main chamber into two halves, wherein said liquid/gas mixture fills a first half of said main chamber after which point said liquid/gas mixture spills over said baffle and into a second half of said main chamber and said liquid component of said liquid/gas mixture passes out of an outlet port; and

a float valve assembly is actuated in relation to a liquid/gas mixture level in said main chamber such that as said float valve assembly sinks fluidic communication is established with a second outlet port and an excess of non-dissolved gas passes out of said second outlet port for recovery and downstream reintroduction into The apparatus.

13. An apparatus for producing an oxygenated fluid, comprising:

a liquid source supplying a fluid into the system forming a pressurized flow stream;

a chiller in fluidic communication with said fluid source, said chiller configured to reduce a temperature of said flow stream to an appropriate temperature level;

an ozone reaction tank in fluidic communication with said chiller, said ozone reaction tank introduces an amount of ozone into said flow stream for antibiological purposes resulting in a liquid/ozone mixture;

a source of colloidal minerals in fluidic communication with said ozone reaction tank, said source injecting colloidal minerals into said liquid/ozone mixture;

an oxygen injection station in fluidic communication with said ozone reaction tank, said oxygen injection station operating to inject gaseous oxygen into said liquid/ozone mixture resulting in a liquid/gas mixture;

a venturi assembly in fluidic communication with said oxygen injection station, wherein said liquid/gas mixture in said venturi assembly is subjected to a magnetic field by a magnetic assembly; and

a gas/liquid separation tank in fluidic communication with said linear accelerator, wherein a liquid component of said liquid/gas mixture is passed downstream with a selected dissolved oxygen content and a gas component of said liquid/gas mixture is directed back for injection into said pressurized fluid flow.
