1. A method for performing admission control of a user equipment located in a cell of a cellular network, the method comprising:

  • receiving, at an admission control entity of the cellular network, receiver performance data sent from the user equipment, wherein the receiver performance data indicates a receiver performance of the user equipment and comprises at least one parameter required by the user equipment;

    determining, at the admission control entity, cell resources required to provide services to the user equipment according to the receiver performance;

    receiving, at the admission control entity, a request message from the user equipment with the receiver performance data of the defined type; and

    transmitting, by the admission control entity, a message to the user equipment, the message defining a type of the receiver performance data needed for the admission control,wherein the request message is a cell update message, a measurement report message or an initial direct transfer message,wherein the at least one parameter includes a first parameter comprising a Carrier Interference (C/I), a Received Energy per chip divided by a power density in a band of a pilot channel of the cell (Ec/No), or a Received Energy per bit divided by the power density in the band of the pilot channel of the cell (Eb/No),wherein the first parameter is configured to have a predetermined Block Error Rate (BLER), a number of bits per Transmission Time Interval (TTI) and a data rate,wherein the at least one parameter further includes at least a second parameter, a third parameter, or a fourth parameter,wherein the second parameter comprises a total number of antennas of the user equipment, a distance between the antennas, a coupling between the antennas, or a gain compared to a reference user equipment having only one antenna,wherein the third parameter comprises a receiver category that defines the receiver performance, a type of receiver algorithm implemented in the user equipment, or a gain compared to a reference receiver at a given Bit Error Rate (BER) and BLER, andwherein the fourth parameter comprises a Medium Access Control (MAC) address, an International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI), an International Mobile Equipment Identity and Software Version number (IMEI-SV), or a model of the user equipment.
