1. A system for wireless communication, comprising:

  • a plurality of antenna elements including one or more selectable horizontally polarized antennas and one or more selectable vertically polarized antennas that transmit or receive a radio frequency (RF) signal with a remote node through a wireless link;

    an antenna element selecting device that selects a first combination of one or more of the plurality of antenna elements to transmit or receive an RF signal; and

    interference detection circuitry that detects interference in the wireless link, the antenna element selecting device further selecting a second combination of one or more of the plurality of antenna elements to transmit or receive an RF signal when the interference detection circuitry detects wireless link interference.
