1. A method of processing a signal transmitted via a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) communication channel, the method comprising:
- obtaining a first set of parameters associated with a first plurality of transmitters transmitting a plurality of intended streams, wherein the first set of parameters includes modulation information corresponding to the plurality of intended streams;
obtaining a second set of parameters associated with an interference source, wherein the second set of parameters includes modulation information corresponding to the interference source;
receiving a plurality of streams including the plurality of intended streams;
pre-processing the plurality of streams to generate an equivalent receive signal model if one or more of the received plurality of streams are space-time-coded;
demodulating the plurality of streams using the respective modulation information corresponding to the plurality of intended streams and to the interference source, wherein the interference source includes a plurality of interfering streams; and
decoding the plurality of intended streams.

28. A method of processing, at a first wireless device, a signal including a plurality of streams from a second wireless device communicating in a MIMO mode with the first wireless device, the method comprising:
