Abstract

The present invention relates to a mobile terminal which transfers or receives data, including location information, in various ways, and a method of transferring or receiving data using the same.

Claims

1. A mobile terminal for processing a message, comprising:

a communication unit;

a location information unit configured to manage at least one location information; and

a controller configured to obtain a specific location information and to transfer together a first file including the message and a second file including the selected specific location information through the communication unit, the first file being different from the second file.

2. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the selected specific location information includes latitude and longitude information recorded in at least one predefined field within the second file.

3. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the location information unit is further configured to obtain the location information by using at least one of the following:

a satellite system including at least one from among GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, COMPASS, and QZSS;

communication with at least one base station included in a wireless communication system; and

communication with at least one access point included in a wireless LAN system.

4. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the capacity of text that the message can include is restricted.

5. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is configured to generate the second file to include the specific location information in the form of a text.

6. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the specific location information includes a geographical name.

7. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to receive information on a recipient of the first and second files from a user.

8. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the recipient of the first and second files is identified by at least one of an address, a phone number and a URL.

9. The mobile terminal of claim 7, wherein the recipient of the first and second files is identified by at least one of an address, a phone number and a URL.

10. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to provide a user interface related to at least one operation of the operation of obtaining the specific location information and the operation of transferring the first and second files.

11. The mobile terminal of claim 10, wherein the controller is further configured to provide the user interface related to selecting whether to transfer the first and second files separately.

12. The mobile terminal of claim 10, wherein the controller is further configured to provide the user interface for receiving a selection signal for selecting the specific location information from a user.

13. The mobile terminal of claim 12, wherein the controller is configured to provide a graphical user interface as the user interface, wherein the graphical user interface is provided only for receiving the selection signal for selecting the specific location information.

14. The mobile terminal of claim 12, wherein the specific location information is location information about a current location of the mobile terminal or location information about other location except the current location.

15. The mobile terminal of claim 10, wherein the controller is configured to provide the user interface through a screen for inputting the message.

16. The mobile terminal of claim 11, wherein the controller is configured to provide the user interface through a screen for inputting the message.

17. The mobile terminal of claim 12, wherein the controller is configured to provide the user interface through a screen for inputting the message.

18. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is configured to automatically or manually determine whether to transfer the first and second files separately according to a preset mode for location information transfer.

19. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is configured to automatically obtain the specific location information about a current location of the mobile terminal.

20. The mobile terminal of claim 2, wherein the controller is configured to automatically obtain the specific location information about a current location of the mobile terminal.

21. The mobile terminal of claim 1, further comprising:

a memory configured to store the at least one location information,

wherein the controller is configured to obtain the specific location information selected among the at least one location information stored in the memory.

22. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the specific location information can be selected by a user before entering a screen for inputting the message.

23. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the specific location information and the message are identified separately from each other by a recipient of the first and second files.
