1. A moving fluid energy recovery system for generating electricity through rotational motion produced by a fluid flow, said moving fluid energy recovery system comprising:

  • at least one elongated inner vane having a substantially curved profile featuring a curve side, and an open side;

    at least one elongated outer vane having a substantially curved profile featuring a curve side, and an open side;

    a first and second end plate each having a central bore defined therethrough, at least one inner vane slot, and at least one outer vane slot, said inner vane slot of said first and second end plates being configured to receive said inner vane therebetween, said outer vane slot of said first and second end plates being configured to receive said outer vane therebetween, said inner vane slot being orientated with said curve side of said inner vane toward said central bore of said first and second end plates, said outer vane slot being orientated with said open side of said outer vane toward said central bore of said first and second end plates and with at least one longitudinal edge of said inner vane in an interior of said open side of said outer vane; and

    at least one shaft adapted to be received by said central bore of at least said first end plate.
