1. A fiber optic cable assembly, comprising:

  • a housing having a first end, a second end, and an interior space between the first and second ends, the housing having an opening at the first end and a plurality of channels at the second end;

    a plurality of furcation tubes in corresponding channels, the furcation tubes individually including a tube jacket, a buffer tube, and tube filaments having a first portion in the tube jacket and a second portion extending beyond the tube jacket, and wherein the individual furcation tubes include a fastening member at least partially in the channel, the fastening member fastening the second portion of the tube filaments to an outside surface of the tube jacket;

    a bundled cable having a cable jacket and cable filaments in the cable jacket, one end of the bundled cable extends into the interior space through the opening, wherein a portion of the cable filaments extends beyond the end of the cable jacket into the interior space; and

    a plurality of optic fibers in the bundled cable, the housing, and the individual buffer tubes.
