1. A percutaneous vascular valve, comprising:
- a stentless vascular valve body having at least one flexible member for restricting blood flow though a vascular vessel, the flexible member having a central portion for extending out into a lumen of the vascular vessel and an edge which bounds the central portion for contacting a wall of a vascular vessel;
said edge adapted to attach to said wall, wherein said edge includes an array of vessel wall-penetrating elements two or more vessel wall-penetrating elements wide and having vessel wall-penetrating elements arranged longitudinally and generally laterally with respect to one another along said edge so as to provide said array extending along a first region of the edge and along a second region of the edge with said central portion extending therebetween and being free of vessel wall-penetrating elements.

12. A percutaneous vascular valve, comprising:

a vascular valve body free of any support structure and having at least one movable member for restricting blood flow through a vascular vessel, the movable member having a central portion for extending out into a lumen of the vascular vessel and an edge which bounds the central portion for contacting a wall of a vascular vessel; said edge adapted to attach to said wall, wherein said edge includes a multitude of barbs that are arranged longitudinally and generally laterally with respect to one another in a swath of barbs running along said edge, said swath of barbs being two or more barbs wide and extending along a first region of the edge and along a second region of the edge with said central portion extending therebetween and being free of barbs.

13. A percutaneous vascular valve, comprising:
a stentless vascular valve body having at least one flexible member for restricting blood flow, the flexible member having an edge for contacting a wall of a vascular vessel, said edge including a first region and a second region, and said flexible member including a central portion for extending out into a lumen of the vascular vessel with said central portion extending between said first region and said second region, wherein said edge is adapted to attach to said wall and wherein said first region and said second region each includes an array of vessel wall-penetrating elements that is two or more vessel wall-penetrating elements wide. - View Dependent Claims (14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23)
