1. A handheld video-playing device embedded in a mobile telephone, said device comprising:

  • a body;

    at least one image sensor positioned in the body for imaging an area of a printed substrate and generating image data;

    at least one display device positioned in the body for outputting video data;

    a processor coupled to the sensor, said processor being configured for;

    monitoring an identity of the substrate and a position of the device relative to the substrate using the image data;

    retrieving the video data based on the position of the device relative to the substrate; and

    rendering video output to the display screen, said video output being at least partially based on the retrieved video data; and

    a memory coupled to the processor, said memory being configured for storing the video data.
