1. A disposable sensor for use with a device that quantifies the concentration of an analyte in a gaseous sample of exhaled breath, the disposable sensor comprising:
- a housing having an inlet port through which the gaseous sample of exhaled breath is received into the housing;
a sensing element retained by and within the housing, the sensing element configured to respond to the concentration of the analyte in the gaseous sample of exhaled breath, wherein the analyte to be quantified is NO;
calibration information associated with said sensing element;
a use limitation means for limiting use of the disposable sensor; and
an interface means for ensuring proper alignment and installation of the disposable sensor within the device; and
wherein the disposable sensor is removable from the device for replacement by a second disposable sensor.
