1. A kit for amplifying a target sequence present in a target nucleic acid derived from Chlamydophila pneumonia, the kit comprising in packaged combination:

  • a first amplification oligonucleotide, the base sequence of which consists of (i) a target binding region that is fully complementary to a base sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO;

    48, SEQ ID NO;

    56, and SEQ ID NO;

    60, and, optionally, (ii) a 5′

    promoter sequence; and

    a second amplification oligonucleotide, the base sequence of which consists of (i) a target binding region that is fully complementary to the base sequence of SEQ ID NO;

    83, and, optionally, (ii) a 5′

    promoter sequence.
