1. A method of treating epilepsy in a subject comprising:

  • at least partially implanting a medical electrical lead system in a brain of a subject, wherein the lead system comprises a lead body provided with a proximal end and a distal end and a first lumen extending at least partially therebetween;

    at least one electrode in the proximity of the distal end of the lead body; and

    a reservoir in fluid communication with the first lumen and in the form of a second lumen of the lead body or a protrusion, wherein the protrusion is configured to be refilled whether the protrusion is implanted in the lead body of the subject or external to the body of the subject during use, wherein the reservoir is located at a position removed from the distal end of the lead body and situated under a surface of the subject'"'"'s head; and

    delivering at least one bioactive agent to the brain of the subject through the reservoir so that the at least one bioactive agent moves passively from the reservoir to a region of the brain of the subject.
