Patent Images

1. An apparatus for determining lesion location within a target site in a patient, comprising:

  • at least one photon imaging device, wherein said at least one photon imaging device is movable with respect to the target site such that said at least one photon imaging device acquires a plurality of images relative to the target site, wherein a signal intensity for the plurality of images is obtained from opposed positions; and

    a controller configured to;

    control movement of said at least one photon imaging device;

    receive images from said at least one photon imaging device and to receive the signal intensity for each of the plurality of images; and

    calculate the lesion location within the target site in the patient based upon the plurality of images acquired by said at least one imaging device using the obtained signal intensities from only a single set of mutually opposing positions.
