1. An implantable active medical device, comprising:

  • a bion including electronic circuitry for therapy delivery or detection of biological signals, and an electrode electrically connected to the electronic circuitry; and

    a tank filter placed in series between the electronic circuitry and the electrode, the tank filter having electrical inductance in parallel with capacitance and an overall circuit Q such that the tank filter attenuates current flow over a range of selected frequencies.
