1. A method for providing repetitions of acknowledgement from a user equipment, the method comprising:
- responsive to receipt of a single transmission of a medium access control packet data unit by the user equipment;
transmitting in a first subframe a first ACK response utilizing a first cyclic shift;
transmitting a plurality of additional ACK responses, each of the plurality of additional ACK responses utilizing a second cyclic shift, wherein each of the plurality of additional ACK responses is transmitted in a subframe following the first subframe, andwherein the first ACK response and the plurality of additional ACK responses are transmitted over one or more uplink transmission resources.
