1. A method for supporting a sleep mode action of a mobile station (MS) in a wireless mobile communication system, the method comprising:

  • receiving, in the MS, a first message comprising trigger information, wherein the trigger information includes at least one trigger condition and at least one event action comprising a handover action which is performed upon reaching the at least one trigger condition;

    transmitting, from the MS, a sleep request message comprising a first enabled triggered parameter, wherein the first enabled triggered parameter includes a first bitmap comprising a first bit which is set to indicate the handover action is enabled;

    receiving, in the MS, a sleep response message comprising a second enabled triggered parameter, wherein the second enabled triggered parameter includes a second bitmap comprising a second bit which is set to indicate the handover action is enabled;

    entering, by the MS, a sleep mode after receiving the sleep response message;

    transmitting, from the MS, a handover request message when the at least one trigger condition corresponding to the handover action is reached in the sleep mode; and

    receiving, in the MS, a handover response message in response to the handover request message.
