1. A skin-adherable infusion device comprising:
- a reservoir that holds a liquid medicament;
an outlet port that delivers the liquid medicament to a patient;
a pump that holds a volume of the liquid medicament received from the reservoir and displaces substantially all of the volume of the liquid medicament when actuated;
a first control movable between a first position and a second position, the first control, when in the first position, establishing a first fluid path between the reservoir and the pump, and when in the second position, establishing a second fluid path between the pump and the outlet wherein the control is undepressed in the first position and depressed in the second position; and
a second control that mechanically actuates the pump only when the second fluid path has been established by the first control,the device further comprising a first valve and a second valve operable by the first control for establishing the first and second fluid paths.

Abstract
A wearable infusion device comprises a first control movable between a first position and a second position that when in the first position, establishes a first fluid path between a reservoir and a pump and when in the second position, establishes a second fluid path between the pump and an outlet. A second control actuates the pump only when the second fluid path has been established by the first control.
