1. A skin-adherable infusion device comprising:

  • a reservoir that holds a liquid medicament;

    an outlet port that delivers the liquid medicament to a patient;

    a pump that holds a volume of the liquid medicament received from the reservoir and displaces substantially all of the volume of the liquid medicament when actuated;

    a first control movable between a first position and a second position, the first control, when in the first position, establishing a first fluid path between the reservoir and the pump, and when in the second position, establishing a second fluid path between the pump and the outlet wherein the control is undepressed in the first position and depressed in the second position; and

    a second control that mechanically actuates the pump only when the second fluid path has been established by the first control,the device further comprising a first valve and a second valve operable by the first control for establishing the first and second fluid paths.
