1. A cardiac rhythm management device, comprising:
- a sensing amplifier for connecting to an electrode disposed in the right ventricle to form a right ventricular sensing channel;
pulse generators for connecting to electrodes disposed in the right and left ventricles to form right and left ventricular pacing channels;
a controller for controlling the delivery of paces by the ventricular pacing channels in accordance with a ventricular escape interval that is reset by a right ventricular sense;
wherein the controller is programmed to pace the left ventricle at a specified pacing instant defined with respect to expiration of the ventricular escape interval; and
,wherein the controller is further programmed to operate in a ventricular rate regularization mode in which the ventricular escape interval is increased after delivery of a left ventricular pace and decreased after a right ventricular sense.
