1. A broadcast receiver comprising:

  • a tuner for receiving a broadcast signal including mobile broadcast service data and main broadcast service data, the mobile broadcast service data including traffic information, wherein a Reed-Solomon (RS) frame includes at least one data packet corresponding to the mobile broadcast service data, an RS parity generated based upon the mobile broadcast service data, and a Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) checksum generated based upon the mobile broadcast service data and the RS parity, and wherein each data group in the broadcast signal includes the mobile broadcast service data, a transmission parameter, signaling information, and known data sequences;

    a demodulator for demodulating the received broadcast signal and obtaining, from the signaling information, fast information channel (FIC) data and transmission parameter channel (TPC) data, wherein the FIC data have cross layer information between a physical layer and an upper layer, wherein the TPC data indicate a version of the FIC data, wherein the TPC data are multiplexed with the FIC data, wherein the TPC data are RS encoded, and wherein the FIC data are block interleaved after being RS encoded;

    a transmission parameter detector for detecting the transmission parameter;

    a block decoder for symbol-decoding the received broadcast signal in block units based on the detected transmission parameter;

    an RS frame decoder for performing CRC decoding and RS decoding on the RS frame in order to correct errors in the corresponding mobile broadcast service dataa location information unit for searching and generating current location information of the broadcast receiver; and

    a navigation unit for searching for a bypass route based on a weighted link of a current route from a location corresponding to the current location information to a destination and for performing route guidance using at least the current route or the bypass route to facilitate user selection of an optimal route to the destination, the weighted link including congestion information including average speed information and accident information that are received through the traffic information.
