First Claim
1. A patient support apparatus for use with a patient coupled to a medical device via at least one patient care line, the patient support apparatus comprisinga frame including at least one movable patient support section,an actuator coupled to the at least one movable patient support section and operable to move the at least one movable patient support section,a user interface facing away from the patient and that is used by a caregiver to signal operation of the actuator to move the at least one movable patient support section, andcontrol circuitry coupled to the actuator to command operation of the actuator in response to use of the user interface by the caregiver, wherein during movement of the actuator in response to use of the user interface by the caregiver, the control circuitry ceases operation of the actuator in response to receiving a signal indicative of an unwanted condition of the at least one patient care line.
