1. A method of operation of a computing device comprising:

  • receiving, from a first mobile device, a low-threat response service request initiated by a first user associated with the first mobile device; and

    identifying a responder for responding to the low-threat response service request initiated by the first user, the responder selected from a group consisting of;

    a friend of the first user located within a proximate area of the first user and a friend-of-a-friend of the first user located within the proximate area of the first user; and

    wherein identifying the responder comprises;

    determining whether a friend of the first user is within the proximate area of the first user;

    if a friend of the first user is within the proximate area of the first user, identifying the friend as the responder for responding to the low-threat response service request initiated by the first user; and

    if a friend of the first user is not within the proximate area of the first user, determining whether a friend-of-a-friend of the first user is within the proximate area of the first user; and

    if a friend-of-a-friend of the first user is within the proximate area of the first user, identifying the friend-of-a-friend as the responder for responding to the low-threat response service request initiated by the first user and confirming that the friend-of-a-friend is willing to provide assistance prior to identifying the friend-of-a-friend as the responder;

    effecting presentation of information at a second mobile device associated with the responder directing the responder to a location of the first user by effecting presentation of a map at the second mobile device associated with the responder, the map including directions to the location of the first user; and

    effecting presentation of information at the first mobile device associated with the first user directing the first user to a nearest safe location.
