1. A method comprising:
- measuring an acceleration of an asset to obtain an acceleration value using a tracking device;
adjusting, using the tracking device, the acceleration value based on accelerometer-calibration factors to obtain an adjusted-acceleration value;
determining, using the tracking device, a position of the asset based on the adjusted-acceleration value and a transformation matrix, wherein the transformation matrix allows transformation from a computational frame of reference to a user frame of reference;
updating, using the tracking device, the transformation matrix based on a manual alignment fixture; and
transmitting the position of the asset from tracking device.
