1. A protection system for preventing an inductive power providing system from transmitting power in the absence of an electric load, said inductive power providing system comprising at least one primary inductor configured to transfer power to at least one secondary inductor, wherein said protection system further comprises:

  • at least one circuit-breaker for disconnecting said primary inductor from a power supply;

    at least one primary detector in the locality of said primary inductor for detecting power transmitted by said primary inductor;

    at least one secondary detector for detecting said secondary inductor inductively coupled to said primary inductor; and

    at least one controller in communication with both said primary detector and said secondary detector, for triggering said circuit-breaker.
