- a putter head comprising;
a face;
a first group of grooves which are mutually-parallel grooves; and
a second group of grooves which differ in depth from the first group of grooves,wherein the face includes the first group of grooves and the second group of grooves, andwherein a ratio W/S between a width W (mm) of grooves of the first group and a pitch S (mm) between the grooves of the first group ranges from 0.5 to 2.0;
wherein the face is formed from an insert material which differs from a material of a main body; and
a second insert material is made of a synthetic resin having Shore A hardness falling within a range from 90 to 98.
