An inkjet recording medium comprising a substrate and, provided on or above the substrate, an ink-receiving layer comprising at least one type of inorganic fine particles, at least one water-soluble resin, and at least one ethylene oxide adduct of an acetylene glycol compound having an HLB value of from 2 to 6, wherein a content of the ethylene oxide adduct of the acetylene glycol compound in the ink-receiving layer is from 0.01 to 0.2 g/m2 and the ethylene oxide adduct of the acetylene glycol compound is a compound represented by the following Formula (1):
