Hyaluronic acid based copolymers
First Claim
1. A hyaluronic acid (HA) conjugate comprising a HA and a biocompatible polymer selected from the group consisting of poly(tyrosine carbonates), poly(tyrosine ester), poly(imino carbonates), and combinations thereof, wherein the HA is functionalized to bear a hydrazide group, a terminal anhydride group, a terminal aldehyde group, or a combination thereof, andwherein the HA conjugate with a biocompatible polymer is formed by directly coupling the functionalized HA with the biocompatible polymer in a common solvent.
