1. A method, comprising:
- passing an abdominal cavity apparatus into a lumen of a stomach of a patient, the abdominal cavity apparatus including a controller, and at least one electrode that is electrically coupled to the controller;
pushing the controller through a wall of the stomach to an extra-gastric site within an abdominal cavity of the patient until no portion of the controller is within the lumen of the stomach;
thereafter, moving the controller in a manner that places the at least one electrode in contact with the stomach wall; and
leaving the at least one electrode in contact with the stomach wall, and the controller at the extra-gastric site.

A method is provided, including physically contacting a gastric implantation site of a stomach via a transluminal approach, physically contacting the site via a transabdominal approach, stabilizing the site, and implanting an electrode at the site based on the physical contact provided by the transluminal and transabdominal approach.
