1. A method for displaying the behaviour of an animal, comprising:

  • detecting movements of the animal using at least one sensor attached to the animal;

    collecting movement data from the at least one sensor in a pre-determined time interval;

    identifying from the movements of said animal a sequence of specific activities by comparing the movement data with known reference data;

    displaying a sequence of visual representations corresponding to said sequence of specific activities, wherein the sequence of visual representations is assigned a time period which is shorter in duration than the pre-determined time interval and the sequence of visual representations is used to assess the health of the animal based on the movement data.
