1. A non-transitory computer-readable medium for displaying packetized alert data from multiple publishers encoded with computer-readable instructions configured to:
- allow a user to subscribe to receive packetized alert data from a first publisher;
allow said user to subscribe to receive packetized alert data from a second publisher;
allow said user to modify first publisher settings selected from types of messages to receive, modes of transmission, screen region configuration, length of display time, and message acknowledgement;
allow said user to modify second publisher settings selected from types of messages to receive, modes of transmission, screen region configuration, length of display time, and message acknowledgement;
display a screen region capable of displaying HTML data, XML data, image data, audio data, plug-in data as an atomic unit;
receive a first packetized alert data from said first publisher, wherein said first packetized alert comprises HTML data and multimedia data;
update said screen region to display said first packetized alert data based on said first publisher settings;
receive a second packetized alert data from said second publisher, wherein said first packetized alert comprises HTML data and multimedia dataupdate said screen region to display said second packetized alert data based on said second publisher;
receive a fourth packetized alert data comprising a response request from a fourth publisher;
update said screen region to display said fourth packetized alert data and said response request based on fourth publisher settings associated with said fourth publisher;
process an input from said user comprising a response to said response request; and
sending said response of said user to said response request to a server configured to collect response requests for said fourth publisher from a plurality of users.

One or more embodiments of the invention are directed to a system and method for instantaneously deploying packetized alert data in a one to many configuration or a many to many configuration where the data to be received by each recipient can be customized in a way that leaves a publisher with optimum control over the content or revenue generated from each deployment.
