A cell culture substrate having two or more culturing areas for culturing a cell on a substrate, wherein each of the two or more culturing areas contains a plurality of immobilization areas, the plurality of immobilization areas having different heights from the substrate and containing at least two biologically active substances having a biological activity to the cell, wherein the two or more culturing areas are exposed on a surface of the substrate, and wherein the two or more culturing areas contain different amounts of the at least two biologically active substances as a function of position.
