1. A method of processing video data, comprising:
- generating halftone data for a first video frame;
generating halftone data for a second video frame; and
to reduce at least one visual artifact, selectively copying the halftone data for the first video frame into the halftone data for the second video frame, the selectively copying being based upon a comparison between an adaptive threshold and the change resulting due to the copying of the data, in a human visual system model-based perceptual error of the halftone data for the second video frame;
wherein the adaptive threshold is adapted in response to the selectively copying.

Abstract
A system and method for processing video data are disclosed. In one aspect, a method includes generating halftone data for a first video frame and generating halftone data for a second video frame. The method further includes, to reduce at least one visual artifact, selectively copying the halftone data for the first video frame into the halftone data for the second video frame, the selectively copying being based upon a comparison between an adaptive threshold and the change resulting due to the copying of the data, in the human visual system model-based perceptual error of the halftone data for the second video frame.

14. An apparatus for processing video data, comprising:
-
a memory device having stored therein at least halftone data for a first and second video frame; and a processor that is configured to communicate with said memory device and is configured to reduce at least one visual artifact by selectively copying the halftone data for the first video frame into the halftone data for the second video frame, the selectively copying being based upon a comparison between an adaptive threshold and the change, resulting due to this copying of the data, in a human visual system model-based perceptual error of the halftone data for the second video frame. - View Dependent Claims (20)
