Determining a neuromodulation treatment regimen in response to contactlessly acquired information
First Claim
1. A system comprising:
- a sensor device configured to sense a property of a mammal without physically touching the mammal;
a signal generator configured to generate a signal indicative of the sensed property of the mammal;
a patient confirmation device configured to confirm that the signal indicative of the sensed property of the mammal was originated in response to the mammal;
a feature interpretation device configured to generate data indicative of a physiological characteristic of the mammal in response to the signal indicative of the property of the mammal;
a treatment decision device configured to determine in response to the data indicative of a physiological characteristic of the mammal a neuromodulation treatment regimen for administration to a nervous system component of the mammal;
wherein the patient confirmation device is further configured to authorize administration of the neuromodulation treatment regimen to the mammal in response to confirmation that the signal indicative of the sensed property of the mammal was originated in response to the mammal; and
a patient records device configured to store information corresponding to the determined neuromodulation treatment regimen in a computer-readable medium and to provide electronic access to the stored information.

Abstract
Described embodiments include a system, an apparatus, and a method. A described system includes a sensor device configured to sense a property of a mammal without physically contacting the mammal. The system also includes a signal generator configured to generate a signal indicative of the sensed property of the mammal. The system further includes a treatment decision device configured to determine in response to the signal indicative of the sensed property of the mammal a neuromodulation treatment regimen for administration to a nervous system component of the mammal. The system also includes a computer-readable medium configured to maintain and to provide access to information corresponding to the determined neuromodulation treatment regimen.

47. A method comprising:
-
sensing a property of a mammal without physically touching the mammal; confirming that the mammal is the source of the sensed property; generating a signal indicative of the sensed property of the mammal; generating data indicative of a physiological characteristic of the mammal in response to the signal indicative of the property of the mammal; determining in response to the data indicative of a physiological characteristic of the mammal a neuromodulation treatment regimen for administration to a central nervous system component of the mammal; authorizing administration of the neuromodulation treatment regimen in response to confirming that the mammal is the source of the sensed property; storing information corresponding to the determined neuromodulation treatment regimen in a computer-readable medium; and providing electronic access to the stored information.
