1. A method of transmitting non-real time services, the method comprising:

  • generating internet protocol (IP) datagrams including one or more content items for the non-real time services that are delivered in advance of its use and stored in a receiving device, and signaling data including a service map table (SMT) containing service-level attributes for the non-real time service and a service guide (SG) containing a content fragment announcing the content items for the non-real time service;

    generating Reed-Solomon (RS) frames which carries the IP datagrams;

    modulating the RS frames using a Vestigial Side Band (VSB) method; and

    transmitting a broadcast signal including the modulated RS frames through a broadcast channel,wherein the non-real time service is associated with one or more content items, each of which consists of one or more files being delivered via a File Delivery over Unidirectional Transport (FLUTE) file delivery session,wherein the linkages from content items to the files that belong to the content items is processed by matching values of first linkage elements defined for the files in the FLUTE File Description Table (FDT) with values of second linkage elements in the content fragment of the SG, the first linkage element having an entry attribute that identifies the file as an entry point of the linked content item and wherein the SMT is transmitted via a service signaling channel (SSC) with a specific IP address and UDP port number which are well-known to a broadcast receiver, includes first information identifying the one or more non-real time services, second information indicating that a category of a service is a non-real time service and third information including not only IP addresses and UDP ports but also transport session identifiers (TSIs) of the FLUTE sessions.
