1. A system for communicating information to emergency response personnel comprising:

  • a fire extinguisher station that includes a fire extinguisher, first sensor capable of detecting an out-of-range pressure condition for a tank of the fire extinguisher, a second sensor capable of detecting a removal of the fire extinguisher from an installed position, a third sensor capable of detecting an obstruction to access to the fire extinguisher, and communications circuitry;

    a central station located remotely from the fire extinguisher station and in communication with the communications circuitry of the fire extinguisher station equipment station, the central station configured to receive an alarm from the fire extinguisher station, and further configured to create a notification to at least one of the emergency response personnel and building management personnel according to a type of the alarm; and

    an emergency lighting station coupled in a communicating relationship with the central station and configured to generate the alarm to the central station under one or more predetermined conditions, wherein the one or more predetermined conditions includes an obstruction of illumination of an area intended to be illuminated by the emergency lighting station.
