1. A method for supporting a sleep mode action in a wireless mobile communication system, the method comprising:

  • receiving, by a mobile station (MS), a first message comprising trigger information, the trigger information comprising at least one trigger condition and at least one event action which is performed upon reaching the at least one trigger condition;

    transmitting, by the MS, a sleep request message (MOB_SLP-REQ) comprising a first enabled triggered parameter, wherein the first enabled triggered parameter is a first bitmap which comprises a bit set to indicate that a scanning report action is enabled;

    receiving, by the MS, a sleep response message (MOB_SLP-RSP) comprising a second enabled triggered parameter, wherein the second enabled triggered parameter is a second bitmap which comprises a bit set to indicate that the scanning report action is permitted;

    entering into a sleep mode after receiving the sleep response message; and

    transmitting a scan report (MOB_SCN-REP) message when the at least one trigger condition corresponding to the scanning report action is reached.
