1. A system comprising:

  • a plurality of individual stimulators configured to be implanted within a patient, each of said stimulators having a body comprising a distal end surface, a proximal end surface, and at least one side surface disposed in between the distal and proximal end surfaces;

    a plurality of connector assemblies, each connector assembly configured to be coupled to a respective one of said stimulators and extend parallel to said at least one side surface of the respective one of said stimulators; and

    a single encasing configured to at least partially surround the plurality of stimulators and the plurality of connector assemblies to hold all of the stimulators and connector assemblies together as a single unit;

    wherein each of the connector assemblies is further configured to facilitate removable coupling of a lead having one or more electrodes disposed thereon to the respective one of said stimulators.
