Abstract

The present invention provides an electronic device, comprising: a circuit board having at least one first heat-generating element and at least one second heat-generating element mounted thereon; a heat sink connected to said at least one first heat-generating element; a fan facing said heat sink; and an airflow guiding member placed between said fan and said heat sink for guiding the cooling air from said fan to said heat sink and said at least one second heat-generating element respectively. Said electronic device may further comprise a separating member for separating a main body of said at least one second heat-generating element from said circuit board, so as to prevent the cooling air guided to said at least one second heat-generating element from flowing to said circuit board; a bracket for separating said at least one first heat-generating element from other elements on said circuit board, so as to thermally insulate between them; and a flow-guiding gate guiding the airflow from said fan, and dispensing more airflow flow through the region on the heat sink corresponding to at least one first heat-generating element.

Claims

1. An electronic device, comprising:

a circuit board having at least one first heat-generating element and at least one second heat-generating element mounted thereon;

a heat sink connected to the at least one first heat-generating element; and

a fan facing the heat sink;

wherein the electronic device further comprises an airflow guiding member placed between the fan and the heat sink for guiding the cooling air from the fan to the heat sink and the at least one second heat-generating element respectively; and

wherein the electronic device further comprises a separating member for separating a main body of the at least one second heat-generating element from the circuit board, so as to prevent the cooling air guided to the at least one second heat-generating element from flowing to the circuit board, said separating member being in particular formed of insulating materials wherein preferably the airflow guiding member and the separating member are integrally formed of the same insulating materials.

2. The electronic device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the heat sink is formed by aluminum extrusion.

3. The electronic device as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a bracket of the at least one first heat-generating element.

The electronic device as claimed in claim 3, further comprising a heat insulation member for thermally insulating the heat sink from the circuit board, which is in particular disposed in parallel with the backboard of the heat sink, and spaced apart by a pre-determined distance, wherein preferably the backboard of the heat sink is provided with heat insulation film on the surface corresponding to the heat insulation member, said heat insulation film comprising preferably insulating materials.

The electronic device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the heat sink defines a first airflow passage, and the separating member defines a second airflow passage in which the main body of the at least one second heat-generating element is positioned, so that the cooling air guided to the at least one second heat-generating element flows along the second airflow passage, and cools the main body of the at least one second heat-generating element, wherein the second airflow passage preferably has an inlet hole adjacent to the airflow guiding member and an outlet hole for guiding the airflow out of the electronic device.

6. The electronic device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the airflow guiding member and the second airflow passage are configured as a streamline shape to eliminate vortex.

7. The electronic device as claimed in claim 3, wherein the airflow guiding member, the separating member, the heat insulation member and the bracket are integrally formed of the same insulating materials.

The electronic device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a conductive member is provided on the separating member to eliminate electromagnetic interference, which is preferably formed of a metal material different from the material for the heat sink and in particular formed of a conductive film layer formed on at least one portion of the separating member.

The electronic device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the heat sink has fin-like shape, and comprises a plurality of fin plates extending substantially in parallel for defining a first airflow passage between each fin plates, the first airflow passage comprises an inlet end adjacent to the fan and an outlet end for guiding the airflow out of the electronic device, wherein preferably the fan is spaced apart from the inlet end by a predetermined distance to reduce the wind resistance.

10. The electronic device as claimed in claim 4, wherein the heat sink is provided with an inlet hole on the backboard of the inlet end, and an outlet hole on the backboard of the outlet end, as to form an airflow passage in the space between the heat sink and the heat-resistant member.

The electronic device as claimed in claim 4, wherein an inlet gap is disposed between the backboard of the inlet end of the heat sink and the heat insulation member, and an outlet gap is disposed between the backboard of the outlet end and the heat insulation member, so as to form an airflow passage in the space between the heat sink and the heat insulation member.

The electronic device as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a metal sheet matching with the separating member, which on one hand functions as an electromagnetic proof member, and on the other hand defines a second airflow passage together with the separating member, so as to position the main body of the at least one second heat-generating element in the second airflow passage, so that the cooling air guided to the at least one second heat-generating element flows through the airflow passage, wherein in particular the second airflow passage has an inlet hole adjacent to the airflow guiding member and an outlet hole for guiding the airflow out of the electronic device.

The electronic device as claimed in claim 1 further comprising a flow-guiding gate disposed between the fan and the heat sink, guiding the airflow from the fan to the heat sink, and dispensing more airflow to flow through a region of the first airflow passage corresponding to the at least one first heat-generating element.

The electronic device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the electronic device is a frequency converter for driving a motor, the at least one first heat-generating element comprises at least one insulating gate bipolar transistor, and the at least one second heat-generating element comprises at least one capacitor, wherein preferably the at least one first heat-generating element further comprises metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor;

and the at least one second heat-generating element further comprises a coil.

15. A frequency converter for driving a motor, comprising:

a circuit board, on which an insulating gate bipolar transistor module serving as a main heat-generating element and at least one secondary heat-generating element are mounted, a main body of the least one secondary heat-generating element protruding from the circuit board;

a heat sink thermally contacted with the insulating gate bipolar transistor module, and

a fan;

an airflow guiding member disposed between the fan and the heat sink for guiding the cooling air from the fan to the heat sink and to the least one secondary heat-generating element respectively; and

a separating member for separating at least one portion of the main body of the at least one secondary heat-generating element from the circuit board, so as to prevent an airflow guided to the at least one secondary heat-generating element from flowing to the circuit board.

16. The frequency converter for driving a motor as claimed in claim 15, further comprising a bracket of the insulating gate bipolar transistor module having sidewall plates surrounding the insulating gate bipolar transistor module.

The frequency converter fox driving a motor as claimed in claim 16, further comprising a heat insulation member for separating the heat sink and the circuit board, which is in particular disposed in parallel with the backboard of the heat sink, and spaced by a predetermined distance, wherein preferably the back-board of the heat sink is provided with heat insulation film, wherein the heat insulation film in particular comprises insulating materials, wherein preferably the heat sink is provided with an inlet hole on the back-board of the inlet end, and an outlet hole on the back-board of the outlet end, so as to form an airflow pas-sage in the space between the heat sink and the heat insulation member and/or an inlet gap is disposed between the backboard of the inlet end of the heat sink and the heat insulation member, and an outlet gap is disposed between the backboard of the outlet end and the heat insulation member, so as to form an airflow passage in the space between the heat sink and the heat insulation member.

The frequency converter for driving a motor as claimed in claim 15, wherein the heat sink defines a first airflow passage, and the separating member defines a second airflow passage in which the at least one portion of the main body of the at least one secondary heat-generating element is positioned, wherein in particular the second airflow passage has an inlet hole adjacent to the airflow guiding member and an outlet hole for guiding the airflow out of the frequency converter.

19. The frequency converter for driving a motor as claimed in claim 15, wherein the airflow guiding member and the separating member are integrally formed of the insulating materials.

The frequency converter for driving a motor as claimed in claim 15, further comprising a metal sheet matching with the separating member, which on one hand functions as an electromagnetic proof member, and on the other hand defines a second airflow passage together with the separating member, at least one portion of the main body of the at least one secondary heat-generating element being positioned in the second air-flow passage.

The frequency converter for driving a motor as claimed in claim 15, wherein the insulating gate bipolar transistor module comprises at least one insulating gate bipolar transistor, and the at least one secondary heat-generating element comprises at least one capacitor, in particular wherein the insulating gate bipolar transistor module comprises at least one insulating gate bipolar transistor and a metal oxide semi-conductor field effect transistor, and the at least one secondary heat-generating element comprises at least one capacitor and a coil.

22. The frequency converter for driving a motor as claimed in claim 20, wherein an opening corresponding to the capacitor is disposed on the metal sheet, exposing a top part of the capacitor, so as to prevent short-circuit between the capacitor and the metal sheet.

The frequency converter for driving a motor as claimed in claim 15, wherein the heat sink is formed by aluminum extrusion or by aluminum casting, wherein the heat sink formed by aluminum casting in particular has fin-like shape, and comprises a plurality of fin plates substantially extending in parallel for defining a first airflow passage between each fin plates, the first airflow passage comprises an inlet end adjacent to the fan and an outlet end for guiding the airflow out of the frequency converter, wherein the fan and the inlet end are preferably spaced apart by a predetermined distance to reduce wind resistance.

The frequency converter for driving a motor as claimed in claim 15, further comprises a flow-guiding gate disposed on a region of the heat sink between the fan and the insulating gate bipolar transistor, for guiding the airflow from the fan to the heat sink, and dispensing more airflow to flow through a region corresponding to the insulating gate bipolar transistor in the first airflow passage defined by the fin plates of the heat sink.

25. The frequency converter for driving a motor as claimed in claim 15, further comprises;

a metal sheet matching with the separating member, which on one hand functions as an electromagnetic proof member, and on the other hand defines a second airflow passage together with the separating member, at least one portion of the main body of the at least one second heat-generating element being positioned in the second airflow passage;

a flow-guiding gate disposed on the heat sink between the fan and the insulating gate bipolar transistor, for guiding the airflow from the fan to the heat sink, and dispensing more airflow to flow through a region corresponding to the insulating gate bipolar transistor in the first airflow passage defined by the fin plates of the heat sink.
